Pumping Iron Arnold Schwarzenegger

In 1989 my grandmother was buying me my first Muscle & Fitness magazine and looking at those pics was just awesome. They look like comic-hereos and the first bodybuilder I saw was Tom Platz with his amazing legs. I dident now anything about sets, reps, protein or their traning habbits. I was just looking at those pics and thinking this kicks ass, taking names and save all the the pretty girls from the bad guys. Later I saw Arnold Schwarzenegger and was stunned by his proportions, symmetry and karsima that guy has.

For me and I think many others to is Pumping Iron the best documentary ever about this wierd sport called bodybuilding and it sure was back then. People in the 70`s and those who was promoting sports was thinking bodybuilding was a very weird thing to do and bodybuilders was not very bright to...ehhh right? We can laugh about this now but this was the general feelings among promotors, investors and critics back then. Great athletes with great personality like Franco Columbo, Mike Katz, Lou Ferrigno, Ken Waller, Ed Corney and Arnold him self makes this a pleasure to watch.

But a movie just with sets, reps, training and eating would be boring after a while so this is what George Butler was doing, making this as a docu-drama where mostly is real but some are improvised and scripted.

After Pumping Iron was released it went boom! People was signing to the gym and hitting the weights everywhere.

This spesial collection gives you  a behind the scenes with takes and interviews that you will not find in the movie and Arnold himself talk about it. Great humor, actions, and a very great look back of why bodybuilding and fitness today is one of the popular sports ever.
